Gentry is a West Houston Younglife leader/supporter and he serves on the board of the Tom Robinson West Houston Golf Classic.


 

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

Gentry is a member of the Breeder Greeter Committee as well as the World Show Committee. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has been around for more than 80 years. It benefits youth, supports education, and facilitates better agricultural practices through exhibitions and presentation. It also has donated more than $350 million to scholarships, research, endowments, calf scramble participants, junior show exhibitors, School Art participants, and other educational youth programs.


 

Yellowstone Academy

Gentry is involved with and supporter of Yellowstone Academy, which serves children and families living in extreme poverty. Yellowstone Academy provides an education to provide resources these families need in order to reach their full potential.

Gentry and his family have participated in shepherding two children from the school since 2002. The staff at Robinson Benefits visit and read to a first grade classroom at Yellowstone Academy on a monthly basis.


 

Family Legacy Missions

Family Legacy Missions international helps connect American families with the orphaned and vulnerable children of Zambia, Africa, to proclaim the gospel, transform lives, and rescue orphans. In July 2013, Gentry and his family traveled to Zambia to open Tom’s House, a home established to house and care for twelve formerly orphaned boys. The boys living in Tom’s House, are part of an orphanage with 400 other children where they are loved, attend school, receive medical attention, and live happy and restored lives.


 

Boy Scouts

Gentry is an Eagle Scout and is an active supporter of the Sam Houston Area Council, a prominent values-based youth development organization.
